I gave a little research and managed to get a working emulated CD-I, by the use of MAME/MESS 0.180. Both Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil play run real fine (I'm not really interested in Zelda's Adventure), however, I can't talk to any NPC's. I've read somewhere that the video format used by the CD-I was proprietary, and nobody had managed to crack the code yet. Which is weird, because the beginning cutscene of both games work fine (they don't need Alpha to show the current background, though, as any NPC's movie does). Then I've tried CDI-Emu. It's able to play the NPC Movies, but the game has no audio as soon as you enter any stage (the movies play fine in it, with audio).
Since I can't find anything newer than a year, how does CD-I emulation stands now? Did they find a fix for this, is it possible to use another emulator, maybe I need to emulate it on another system.? (Bold part is the tl:dr XD) EDIT: Ah, I've forgot: I'm running a Windows 10 PC, with a FX-6100 Processor, 16GB of RAM and an PNY 2GB NVidia GTX 770 GPU (I know, I'm weird, I mix AMD and NVidia, never caused me any issues, though XD) EDIT: I've found a 'solution'. Apparently, if you hold a button as soon as the game freezes (and starts loading the cutscene) and let it go as soon as the sprites disappear, the cutscenes play on MESS. And after messing with system dates, I was able to get CDI-EMU to work as well, I was using an outdated version, the only one that still runs after 2012. But once I downloaded a beta, and set my computer date to 2010 it ran. Albeit with speed problems.
Not an ideal solution. So, long story short: Use MESS, boot the game as usual, and as soon as any freezing occurs, hold any button down. Once the sprites disappears, stop holding the button, and the game will play run as intended.
